I did not know what to expect when my daughter offered me the services of a professional oral historian as an 80th birthday present. To my surprise and delight, I found that the experience, in the capable and friendly hands of Sharon Gubbay, was both pleasant and worthwhile. I enjoyed recalling and reviewing the stories of my life and sharing them with my family. It was also fun surprising grandchildren with crazy notions like party-line telephone and ice-delivery, that had been part of my youth.
